“Again & Again” is a photo project that illustrates intimate moments of human connection. These moments were inspired by real instances witnessed by the artist, which she used to create these single image narratives. Each image is intended to remind the viewer of beautifully human moments they themselves have witnessed, and to imbue them with a sentimentality for community. It encourages the viewer to remember, they have more in common with the strangers around them than they might think.
The photos in this series follow the Tableau Vivant style which is inspired by the artists Jeff Wall, Stan Douglas, Gregory Crewdson and Justine Kurland. The title Again & Again refers to the cyclical nature of these sentimental moments. Love persists within community and it continues, again and again, to fuel the artist’s hopeful ideology.
